The hut of Gfölleralm was erected in 1888 and since has only been modified minimally. The hut nestles to a rock and lies directly at the exit of the alpine trail through Höll canyon.

For those who do not want to conquer the 750 steps and 14 ladders of the alpine trail, the hut can also be reached over a logging road. The cattle, which is spending the summer on the alp, provides for the milk that is processed to butter and the special "Steirerkas" cheese.

These and other delicacies from wholefood products, as well as home-made pastries and refreshing drinks are offered in the cosy hut and on the sunny terrace. Riesach lake - where you can refresh tippy-toeing or swimming - is also just 3 walking minutes away.
