Enjoy the typical Styrian hospitality at the edge of Klafferkessel in the heart of the Schladminger Tauern mountain range at Preintalerhütte.
Preintalerhütte is one of the largest alpine huts in the Schladminger Tauern mountain range and offers space for about 120 people (40 beds and about 80 communal bunks). The hut is destination for day-trips as well as trail head for further hikes and summit tours:
- Hochwildstelle (2,747 m)
- Waldhorn (2,702 m)
- Kieseck (2,681 m)
Moreover, Preintalerhütte is stage point of the Schladminger Tauern alpine trail which is a part of n° 2 - Central Alpine Trail.
Family Höflehner cares for the physical well-being of their guests with home-made regional delicacies on the large terrace of the hut.
Preintalerhütte is accessible from Seeleiten carpark in about 2.5 hours from Untertal valley, from where you take the alpine trail through "Höll" canyon and pass by Lake Riesach.
